Pacific Newspaper Group accepts advertising material files created in a variety of applications on both Apple Macintosh and Microsoft Windows platforms. Please ensure your advertising material is created as per the following specifications.
PDF files are preferred by Pacific Newspaper Group for advertising material submissions.

 PDF - The preferred file format for ad material submissions. Use the Pacific Newspaper Group distiller settings file to create your PDF. See detailed PDF information and download distiller files HERE |
 Adobe Illustrator - Save as Illustrator Ver. 8 EPS , convert fonts to outlines (curves) or include all fonts with EPS. Delete all unnecessary art/copy on page such as artist notes, crop marks, booking information and unused fonts before saving as EPS file. |
 Adobe Photoshop - Uncompressed TIFF or EPS files only. Do not use compression (LZW-TIFF) or JPEG encoding (EPS-Binary encoding only) for image or preview as it may cause your file(s) to print incorrectly. Colour images must be CMYK, black-white images must be grayscale. Minimum resolution 200ppi, 300ppi maximum. |
 Multi-Ad Creator - Include document layout, all artwork and fonts. |
 Quark Xpress - Quark XPress layouts must include all element files and screen/printer fonts. Quark Xpress EPS files must include screen/printer fonts with submission. |
 Adobe InDesign - Include document layout, all links and fonts. For PDF files created from InDesign, do not export directly from the application. Create a PDF as per our specifications located HERE |

| Quark Xpress - QuarkXPress documents must include all elements. Any fonts used that are not available on the Mac platform may be substituted. Quark EPS files can only be used if all fonts (including fonts embedded in EPS files within the ad) are available on the Mac platform. Resize the page to the ad size before saving in EPS format. As an alternative, you can 'Save Page as EPS', open in Adobe Illustrator and convert text to outlines. Check the final product carefully as Illustrator may move copy and elements. |
