Adobe InDesign, CorelDraw and PageMaker Users - DO NOT use the 'Export to PDF' function within your layout application. Create a postscript file and distill manually.
Adobe InDesign Notes:
OS X - For high-resolution, four-color reproduction, final PDF files must be distilled. The OS X 'save as' function does not allow parameter control (compression, colour space etc.) and saves all colours as RGB. As in earlier versions of Acrobat, you must first save a PostScript file to disk in your creation application then launch Distiller and manually convert the file.
- If the 'Export PDF' function is used, InDesign will convert your Type 1 fonts to composite fonts which our RIPs cannot process
- Flatten any transparency.
- Check the final PDF to ensure that any transparencies have been flattened to your liking and all images and fonts are correct
